So the food says “organic” on it and you feel good about buying it’s ethically sourced and naturally produced. Then I’m reminded that nobody has a monopoly on the definition of squishy terms like “organic”.  So what does the word mean? How do you know it’s the same definition as you would use? My solution is to ignore titles that don’t have a clear meaning.  If I want “organic” I go to the backyard and grab a tomato from the garden.

Sorry, this isn’t really legal or business related.  I just think it’s important to remember that advertising is powerful but not always as truthful as I would want. I think the term I’m looking for is “puffery”.
