I have found in the last year or so, that if I pursue a business venture where I feel no personal investment, I am prone to letting the venture die. On the other hand, if I am passionate about the concept because I feel it reflects who I am, then I am much more apt to pushing past obstacles. That’s the style part. I run a business that reflects my personal style. I have also learned that I don’t have to be ashamed of who I am. Even if I were some sort of kook (which I’m really not) there are a bunch of other kooks out there just like me. I just have to reach them. That’s the aplomb part. I’m sefl-assured because I have a tribe surrounding me.
